§ 2.20. Rules of procedure.

  • (a)

    The Mayor and City Council shall adopt rules of procedure and order of business consistent with the provisions of this Charter and shall provide for keeping minutes of their proceedings which shall be public records.

    (b)

    All committees and committee chairmen of the City Council shall be appointed by the Mayor and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The Mayor shall have the power to appoint new members to any committee at any time.

    (c)

    Liaisons to committees and Boards which may be appointed by the Mayor shall be: Water and Sewer, Finance, Sanitation, Police, Planning and Zoning Commission, Ford Center Board, Keep Powder Springs Beautiful, Downtown Development Authority, Education, Development Authority of Powder Springs and any other Committee which the Mayor shall deem necessary.
